The National Model Railroad Association promotes model railroading through education, standards, recommended practices, programs, and a worldwide community of model railroaders.

The Gateway Division NMRA serves model railroaders throughout the greater St. Louis and Southern Illinois area. The Division offers meetings, clinics, workshops, layout tours, contests, events, and other opportunities to enjoy and learn about model railroading.

Gateway Division is part of the Mid-Continent Region of the NMRA, which brings together NMRA divisions and model railroaders throughout Missouri and neighboring states.

Railroading is a big community. This section is home to clubs, historical organizations, museums, railroads, hobby resources, and other groups that Gateway Free-mo participants and visitors may find interesting.
